Divorce can be a long, drawn-out, bitter process, but there are instances when it can also be amazingly weird.
Take a recent case, in which a perturbed husband, who is also a surgeon from Long Island, New York, made an unusual demand from his soon-to-be-former spouse.
According to the supremely ticked-off hubby, he proved his love for his attractive, 44-year-old wife in 2001, when he donated one of his own kidneys to her for a transplant. This guy possibly put his own life at risk to help save the woman he loved.
Pretty brave, romantic thing to do, huh?
Well, yeah, except that, according to the 49-year-old doc, his "better half" repaid his act of noble sacrifice by cheating on him. When she got a knee injury in 2003, her "sessions" with her physical therapist turned into an affair. She then filed for divorce from her stunned husband, who was served the papers while in the middle of performing surgery.
Tacky!
He is now suing his ungrateful wife and demanding that she either fork over one million bucks or give him his kidney back.
Guess you have to be mighty careful these days who you hand out your major organs to!
